I'm fairly new to this canning thing and still trying to find the perfect recipe for crispy dill pickles. I've searched the internet, pinterest, old recipes, friends recipes, etc..... This years canning has begun and I'm doing a test. I'm trying out Mrs. Wages Kosher Dill Pickle seasoning packs. The first batch of pickles was done according to the recipe....water bath and all. The second batch I just poured the hot liquid in hot sterilized jars and let them seal themselves. The third batch I'm going to add pickle crisp. Stay tuned....I'll let you know which one, if any, turn out the way I hope.
