Home Decor, Rustic Farmhouse Industrial style

So anyone who knows me, knows that when I get my mind set on a particular piece.....I'm kind of stuck because I will look in three states and online to find just what I'm looking for. So when it came to finding the perfect clock, I just couldn't....or didn't want to pay the price. So I bought a cheap little clock from Walmart and some paint and made it into the vision I had in my head. Candlesticks.....the same (they were raw wood when I bought them). And as crazy as it sounds I actually did look all over Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri in person and online as well and never found the perfect thing, so I made the imperfect thing.....perfect for me!

I used black chalk spray paint and off white chalk spray paint and layered the paint on the candlesticks, then used some sandpaper to roughen it up a bit.

On the clock, I used black chalk spray paint and a see through blue-ish spray paint, then roughened it up with sandpaper.

I guess next time I don't need to travel so far. Both of these were eventually found within an hour of home.

Here is a before and after of my clock. I didn't take a before picture of the candle sticks but I'm sure you can picture raw wood. I love the way they turned out and the price was definitely right!
